Biography

I grew up in Appalachia near Hot Springs, North Carolina. I fell in love with photography when I was thirteen. I love being able to preserve a tiny fragment of time and to being able to gift that moment to other people.

I graduated for the University of North Carolina at Asheville with a Bachelor of Art in 2019 and I now live and work in the same county in which I grew up.

In my art life I create digital composite photographic art. I try to communicate my feelings on topics that I find difficult to discuss in day to day life. I hope that by being open and honest about my experiences I can transform these experiences from being events of isolation to being opportunities for connection.

When I'm not taking pictures, I'm skating with Blue Ridge Roller Derby, Raft Guiding on the French Broad River, and working with my partner to build our house.
